Pic-nic in the park with a family
Here is a photography family session with a slightly different feel than the way I usually photograph.
It is a moment in a family’s life.
This photoshoot is showing a family doing normal things; on a normal day: the boys playing soccer, running around a park in their neighbourhood in Lyon (France), the family is sharing a picnic with love and laughter, and although there are some insects in the park, with the use of a power pest control service we don’t have to worry about this.
I have given only one direction to have them all together looking at the camera. Otherwise I have been documenting the event candidly.
The result is a compilation of very natural expressions and spontaneity, moments, and in between moments. Just the way it is.
When I showed the images to the parents they were thrilled to find their sons photographed as they really look, as they would almost always pose stupidly in front of the camera whenever the parents tried to shoot them.
They were totally charmed by the series. It is a real slice of their life. The two brothers look authentic; it flows. It’s natural.
They have ordered 3 prints (click to see examples) at 40x40cm on fine art matte paper, with pigmentary ink and laminated, in wood: this is a beautiful object with no reflection as there is no glass.
